| Sylvano Comvalius moved abroad at the end of 2008. He signed a 1-year contract for the Maltese club of Hamrun Spartans in November 2008. It was his first professional contract after developing on amateur-level.
His successful stay in Malta was followed by a 2-year contract at Maltese giants Birkirkara in July 2009. He scored 18 goals in 21 match appearances for Birkirkara. Comavalius also made his European debut with the Maltese club in the UEFA Europa League. At the end of september 2010 Comvalius went on trial at Scottish first division side Stirling Albion that was succesfully followed by a short-term contract and a move to Scotland. Comvalius was released from his contract towards the end of the year following his wife giving birth back in Amsterdam. He signed a new contract in January 2011 at Al-Salmiya SC in Kuwait. In June he moved to Kazakhstan to sign for FC Atyrau. At the Kazakh club he also met fellow Dutchman Kiran Bechan. In 2012 globetrotter Comvalius moved to China to play for Fujian Smart Hero FC. His current status is unknown. | |
