At the end of January 2007, Cardiff City have bolstered their attacking options by signing Iwan Redan on loan until the end of the season from Willem II. Redan did not managed to seal a permanent stay at the end of the season 2006-2007. With another 1-year left on his contract, Redan returned home to Tilburg to look for a new club.

After being released from his contract in summer 2007, Redan was looking for a new club. Finally at the end of January 2008, he gained a contract until the end of the season at his former club RBC Roosendaal.

Iwan Redan returned abroad in summer 2008 when he signed a 2-year contract at Paphos FC from Cyprus. Already after a half season, he returned home to sign for the rest of the season for Excelsior Rotterdam. He was for a long time looking for new opportunities.

For the 2010-11 season Redan was playing on a 1-year amateur contract at his former club Sparta. After minimal playing chance he moved to Almere City in January 31 2011 for the rest of the season.

Redan retired from professional football in summer 2011 and returned to the amateurs of SC Feyenoord.
