Former club(s):Haaglandia, Swansea City (Eng), ADO Den Haag
Ferrie Bodde started his professional football career at ADO Den Haag. In 2007 he moved abroad by signing a 3-year contract until 2010 for the Welsh club Swansea City who were playing in the League 1.

Following a fine start to the Championship 2007-08 campaign, Ferrie suffered a knee injury in the November 2008 clash with Birmingham at the Liberty Stadium, ruling him out for the remainder of the season. But during the first four months he weighed in with no fewer than seven goals, including a wonder strike from distance at Preston in September which was named as Goal of the Year at the end of season awards.

The next seasons Bodde suffered several injuries and played a minimum of matches. However there was confidence in his recovery and when the contract ended in June 2010, the board extended his contract with another season as well as a year later. He was under a pay per match contract until 2012.

In June 2012 the Swansea directors decided not to extend the contract and Bodde was released on a free transfer. Also in his final season at the Swans, Bodde was not freed from injuries.

In February 2013, Ferrie Bodde returned home and signed for Haaglandia Winston, a Topklasse club from the Hague region. In summer 2013 he retired from professional football.
