Marvin Emnes went to Middlesbrough in July 2008. Emnes has signed a 4-year contract worth 4 million euro, a record fee for Sparta.
In October 2010 he was loaned out to Swansea City for a month. On his home debut for Swansea he scored his second league goal against Leicster City after coming on as a half time substitute. Emnes signed a three-year extension to his contract at the Riverside in 2011, tying him to the club until the summer of 2015. In mid-season 2013-14 he made for the second time a loan move to Swansea City. He joined in January 2014 his former club until the end of the season. The club also used the option for a permanent deal to seal Emnes until 2017. In August 2016 Emnes was loaned out to Championship club Blackburn Rovers for a half-season period. In summer 2017 he finally left the Island signing for the Turkish club until 2020. After one season, he has left the Turkish club. Emnes played the second half of 2018 in the US MLS competition for Canadian club Vancouver Whitecaps. He is currently available looking for new opportunities. | |
