| Nelson moved abroad in summer 2010 to sign a 3-year contract at CSKA Sofia from Bulgaria. He impressed scouts during a pre-season match in Italy and was offered a contract.
In January 2012 Nelson moved to Ukrainian club Metallurg Donetsk. He signed a 3,5 year contract. His contract expired in summer 2015 and he was released on a free transfer. Gregory Nelson returned to Bulgaria in October 2015. He signed a contract for the 2015-16 season at Botev Plovdiv. At the end of the season his contract was not renewed. In January 2017 he moved to Qatar to play for Al Muharraq. In September he moved to India for the rest of the year 2017 competition. In March 2018 he extended his stay until May 2019. His current status is unknown. | |
