Romano Denneboom made his first team experience at SC Heerenveen. In 2004 he also received his first and only cap playing in second half a friendly against Liechtenstein. Afterwards he played at a lot of clubs for a short time before returning to the area he was raised in Rotterdam.

After a half season of trials after expiration of his Sparta contract, Denneboom finally signed a 1,5 year contract in winter 2010-11 at German club Arminia Bielefeld. At the end of the 2010-11 season, the club came into financial problems and also relegated. Denneboom was released from his contract and was looking for a new club in summer 2011.

At the end of January 2012, Denneboom signed a contract at third division (Topklasse) club Harkemase Boys for the rest of the season. In summer 2012 he moved to FC Lienden for another season on Topklasse level.

His had no professional club in the 2013-14 season. In 2014 he moved to the amateurs of DHC Delft.
