Ilias Haddad moved abroad in August 2011. He was educated at the youth academy of AZ before playing on loan at Telstar. When his contract expired he played a trial in Scotland and signed a short-term deal at Saint Mirren until the end of the year.

At the end of the year St Mirren manager Danny Lennon has confirmed the club have withdrawn Ilias Haddad his contract extension offer. Haddad has left the club in January 2012. He found himself a new club in Bulgarian giants CSKA Sofia where he signed a contract until June 2013. In summer 2012, after the clubs surprising early defeat in Europa League qualification, a lot of players including Haddad and fellow Dutchman Sprockel were sacked by the club. Haddad became available on a free transfer. In mid-season 2012-13 he returned home signing a contract until the end of the season at FC Dordrecht.

Haddad is available on a free transfer since July 2013. However, at the end of August, FC Dordrecht offered Haddad a new contract for the 2013-14 season. The defender renewed his contract until June 2015.

Haddad signed a two-year contract at FAR Rabat in Morocco in July 2015. He extended in 2017 with another season and moved in July 2018 to Raja Casablanca. Haddad is currently until 2020 under contract.
