Dwight Tiendalli joined Swansea City from Twente in summer 2012. He signed a 1-year contract at the Welsh club as defensive cover for the first choice left back Neil Taylor who sustained an ankle injury ruling him out for the whole 2012-13 season.

After leaving the Swans at the end of his contract in June 2013, he rejoined the club in just two months later, penning a three-year deal until 2016. Tiendalli moved to Middlesbrough in the end of March 2015 for a loan-deal until the end of the season.

At the 1st of September 2015 Swansea City dissolved the contract of Tiendalli, so the player was transfer free again and looking for a new opportunity. Finally in summer 2017 the former Dutch international managed to find himself a new club. League One Oxford United offered the defender a chance to play in the 2017-18 season for the club. Tiendalli played 13 matches in his League One season before his contract expired.

Dwight Tiendalli has retired from professional football in summer 2018. He was capped twice in his international career and has played the most matches in the jersey of FC Twente. Tiendalli was member of the successful FC Twente squad and has won the Dutch league, the Dutch Cup and twice the Superclub between 2009 and 2012.
