Young talented winger Jordan Botaka moved in January 2012 from ADO Den Haag abroad to sign for Belgian club, Club Brugge. He signed a 2,5 year contract until 2014. In January 2013 he went on loan for the rest of the season to Portuguese second liga outfit, CF Belenenses. Botaka has not made any first team matchplay at Brugge yet.

In July 2013 he moved to the Netherlands. Botaka signed a 1-year contract at Excelsior Rotterdam, with an option for another season. In March 2014 Excelsior used this option.

In september 2015 Botaka went abroad again and signed a two-year contract at Leeds United including an option to extend his contract with two years.

On 11 August 2016, Botaka joined League One side Charlton Athletic on a season long loan. His contract expired and he returned to Belgium to sign for Sint Truiden on a 3 year deal.

Botaka was Under 19 international for the Netherlands. Since 2015 Botaka is A-international of DR Congo.
