At the end of August 2016 Lens moved on a season-long loan deal to Fenerbahce. Lens was reunited with his former coach Dick Advocaat. At AZ, PSV and Sunderland Advocaat was also the coach of Lens. He also met his fellow countrymen Gregory van der Wiel and Robin van Persie in Istanbul. The 2017-18 season was another loan season in Turkey for Lens. Besiktas hired the forward from Sunderland. At the end of the season the club signed Lens on a permanent deal until 2022. | |
