Emmen youth product Rick ten Voorde made his debut in 2009 for the first selection. After transfers to RKC and NEC with a loan period at NAC, the Holland U21 international moved abroad in summer 2013. He signed a 3-year contract at German second division outfit Paderborn until 2016. For the 2014-15 season, he is loaned out to Dutch team FC Dordrecht. In July 2015 Ten Voorde signed a one-year deal at FC Emmen. At the end of the 2015-16 season Ten Voorde left FC Emmen and signed a one-year deal at Almere City FC.

Rick ten Voorde went for another foreign adventure in August 2017. He moved to Israelian second division side Hapoel Ramat Gan and took over the Dutchman place in the selection from Jeroen Tesselaar who moved to another Israelian club.
