Willem II youth product Jens Janse moved abroad in summer 2013. The young defender signed a 2-year contract at Segunda Division club Cordoba CF in Spain until June 2015. He changed Spain for Georgia with a transfer in January 2014 to Dinamo Tbilisi.

Janse is available on a free transfer after being released from his contract in summer 2014. In September Janse joined Serie-B outfit Ternana in Italy on a one year contract. In August 2015 his contract was renewed with one season until the summer of 2016.

In September 2016, Jens Janse signed a contract until the end of the season at Leyton Orient. In his debut at the League Two club against Plymouth Argyle, Janse was sent off after 14 minutes. Janse became available on a free transfer since his contract expired in July 2017. In September 2017 he returned to his former club VVV for the 2017-18 season. His contract was not extended and he has left the club in summer 2018.

Jens Janse returned to Italy to play in the lower division his spell. From September to December 2018 he played for Ellera and moved in December to Serie D club ACR Messina. In July 2019 he returned to the amateurs of Ellera.
