| Niels Vorthoren moved abroad in the summer of 2015 when he signed a contract for BK Häcken, a club that is playing in the Sweden highest football league Allsvenskan. His last club in the Netherlands before moving to Sweden was MVV where he did not renew his one-year contract after the season 2014-15.
Niels Vorthoren did not renew his contract in the summer of 2016 and was looking for a new opportunity. In January 2017 he signed for IK Start from Kristiansand Norway to continue his career in their 2017 campaign. In February 2018 he joined Sandnes for the 2018 competition. His contract expired at the end of December 2018 and he is currently looking for a new opportunity elsewhere. | |
