When his father, Dean Gorre, moved to England to play for Huddersfield Town Kenji was only 5 years old. Some time later he started playing in first the Manchester City Academy and in 2002 moved to the Manchester United Academy. In 2013, Gorré signed a one year contract with Swansea City following his release from the Manchester United Academy.

After impressing for the Under-21s, Gorré made his professional debut for Swansea in a 1-0 Premier League loss away to Crystal Palace on the 24 May 2015. He extended his senior contract until 2018.

On 8 July 2015, Swansea City agreed a deal to loan Gorre out to Dutch side ADO Den Haag. On 30 January 2016, it was confirmed that Gorre had returned to Swansea City following his unsuccessful loan spell at ADO Den Haag. He featured in just a few matches in the first half of the season.

Gorre was loaned out for the first half of the 2016-17 season to Northampton Town. He returned to Swansea City in January 2017 with still 1,5 year contract left. After expiration in July 2018, he moved to Portugal to sign for CD Nacional de Madeira on a 3-year contract.
