| After moving to England as a child, Justin Johnson joined the Manchester United Academy, but was released and joined the football academy at The Manchester College. From there, he joined the youth squad of non-League club F.C. United of Manchester.
Johnson joined the Dundee United development squad as an amateur player in March 2015. He signed a three-year professional contract in May 2015. He made his Scottish Premiership debut for the club in the in May 2015. Johnson went on a loan deal to York City in September 2016 for the rest of the season. York City plays in the National League and was relegated from League Two in the 2015-16 season. In January 2017 he was released from his loan contract at York and also at Dundee United. | |
