| Ruud Boymans moved abroad in the summer of 2016 signing a 3-year contract at Al-Shabab. Fellow countryman Fred Rutten is the current head coach at Al-Shabab. FC Utrecht did not let anything know about the transfer fee. In July 2017 he was released from his contract and returned home. From February to June 2018 he was allowed to play his matches for the Reserves of FC Utrecht. | |
