In July 2017 Terence Kongolo from the Feyenoord youth academy moved on a five year deals with a 15ME transfer fee to AS Monaco. He became league champion with the Rotterdam based club and went abroad to join the French Ligue 1. After a half season with minimal chances, the defender moved for a loan period for the rest of the 2017-18 season to England.
In June 2018 when he and his English club prevented relegation out of the Premier League, Kongolo was signed on a permanent contract. Huddersfield Town broke their transfer record when offering Kongolo a 4-year contract with a 20ME transfer fee. In October 2020 he moved to Fulham who signed the defender on a 4 year deal for a 4.4ME fee. The 2022-23 season he returned to France on a loan deal at Ligue 2 club Le Havre. The former U21 international received his first international A call-up for the Netherlands in May 2014 in his Feyenoord period. | |
