| Dutch midfielder Rodney Kongolo moved on a young age from the Feyenoord youth academy to the academy of Manchester City. Since 2014 he moved up to the ranks and featured in the U23 squad in 2017. In July 2017 he went on a loan period to Doncaster Rovers to gain move first team experience. His contract at City was to expire in 2019. In July 2018 SC Heerenveen took the opportunity to get the youngster back home and they signed Kongolo on a permanent deal until 2022.
In summer 2022 Kongolo moved to Italian Serie B side Cosenza. After a half season he was released from his contract in January 2023. |
